Hector Alarcon is an accomplished Construction Superintendent with 11 years of expertise in all areas of the construction industry. Prior to his work with Terra-Petra, Hector was a Superintendent for Gergen Construction, one of the premier applicators of Methane/Waterproofing systems in Southern California. As a Field Superintendent, Hector was in charge of overseeing all daily operations for his job sites including meeting and having daily interactions with supervisory personnel, deputy inspectors, city inspectors, city officials, architects, building inspectors, utility representatives, other subcontractors and property owners.  Adept at managing field personnel and foremen in the field, Hector brings a tremendous amount of construction industry experience to his role as Terra-Petra's Construction Manager.  Some of Terra-Petra's most notable projects---on which Hector was responsible for supervising the installation of the methane mitigation systems for--include the LA Live! Nokia Theatre, the EOC/Parking Structure and LAX Fire Station #80 among others. Hector also had the privilege to work side by side with our founder, methane expert, Mr. Hugh Avery.  Hector has continued to utilize many of the skills he acquired while working with Mr. Avery and has contributed his field knowledge in the Methane trade towards the training and coaching of many methane inspectors.  Hector is a Registered Deputy Methane Barrier Inspector (DMBI) with the City of Los Angeles and is certified by every membrane manufacturer to inspect all approved methane barrier membranes in the City of Los Angeles. Hector holds an OSHA 10 Certification, is CPR/AED Certified from the Safety Institute of California. He also holds an IVES Equipment Operator Certificate and is slated to obtain his California State Contractor License (C61/D4) in 2012. Hector's experience in the field, reputation and knowledge will contribute further to the success of Terra-Petra as a quality and knowledgeable environmental engineering consulting firm.
